I am totally in love with line. Drawing is my comfort zone...painting, not so much. The sketch below represents me stylistically walking the plank to defining form in a more painterly way, using light and color. It's terrifying to turn off the line layer, but I'm determined to improve.

The cassowary seems like such an illogical hanger-on from bygone days. Today, it seemed particularly dejected. There's nothing more depressing than a lonely, deflated cassowary...
